Jordan & Blair - October 18, 2008

Jordan & Blair, some of the nicest people I've ever worked with.  Also one of the biggest bridal party I've had - I had to break out the fisheye.  The wedding took place at the Dunes Golf and Country Club on Sanibel Island.  I loved her fall colors, but she did have some shells in her bouquet! There was an uninvited guest at the ceremony (see gator pic)!  One thing about the sparkler sendoff - if you are going to do this, try and get the 3 foot long sparklers, they are called Black Cats at Skyking fireworks.  As you can see in the picture, by the time they got everyone lit, the people in the front were already burnt out, or burning their fingers or setting fires (a spark burned a hole in my top!)

  Here are a few pictures from my last 2 weddings, I haven't even looked at all the pictures myself yet, but I browsed through them and picked a few that I liked to post online.

Erica and Jerry married at the Edison Home and  Sarah & Michael at Tweenwaters.  When choosing a venue, make sure you know what the back up plan is in case of rain.  At Tweenwaters, the backup plan was to have the ceremony on the dance floor of the reception room.  Luckily it was only sprinkling so they still had the ceremony on the beach, but we were late starting the ceremony because of rain, and the sun was setting before we were done.  I'm not sure what the back up plan is at Edison, but if you are planning an outdoor ceremony, this has to be a consideration. It probably won't rain, but it might.  Your venue should have acceptable options for photos if it is raining, if not.  The larger hotels like the Marco Island Marriott have more options you if you have to move your ceremony and reception inside. Larger hotels almost always have nice architectural features and interior areas to do photos inside too. Something to think about.....

Last Day to Register to Vote in Florida!!!!!

If you haven't registered to vote, today's the last day!!! It's a super important election - your vote counts!  (Aren't these flowers pretty?)  I'm off to Miami today for a day of shopping and visiting my daughter at University of Miami - will be blogging about the all important wedding "photography timeline" in a few days!!
