Walk away

When I'm thinking about a blog entry I'll usually just pick some of my favorite pix from a wedding.  For some reason I liked these two pictures  of this couple walking away!  This wedding was at Mediterra - it's a beautiful venue. I like how they had the ceremony on the little balcony, so everyone had a clear view.

I'm skipping ahead to this wedding because I was working on the pix and I love them!  Ceremony - Covenant Presbyterian Church in Naples, the reception The Vineyards Country Club.

Tiffany & Kevin November 23, 2008

A warm November evening on Marco Island.  A simple beach wedding, an intimate affair with family and friends.  I loved Tiffany and Kevin! They were super to work with!  I loved the tan suit, the navy tie and unique boutoniere (YEAH I know that's not spelled right!) There was an accidental spilling of RED wine on the bride during the post ceremony toast -Yikes!  But mom and Jacey Wood at the Marco Island Marriott got the stain out, (for real - no photoshopping required!) and Tiffany laughed it off - I like to do the sparklers after sunset but before it gets dark, the sky looks pretty....Tiffany your arms look amazing too!

Rey & Candace - November 19 2008

Hi! Sorry for taking so long to blog my recent weddings, I guess I'm a lazy blogger!  I'm working on some new projects that I'm excited to share with you soon....but I want to share some more pictures from the weddings I did in November and in December!  Some photographers might get bored with the beach, but not me, I love it!  I love the light, and the sand, sea and sky...

Mary Pauline & Rory November 15, 2008

A traditional Catholic wedding, and 5 sisters!  Traditional is good, I like traditional weddings and traditional wedding photography, with an editorial flare of course!  Weddings are inherently traditional,  and I feel that the traditional wedding portraits should always be done, in addition to whatever trends happen to be popular now.  You may like  the haute couture magazine look, the crazy angles,  the heavy handed photoshopping now, but like anything trendy, you may look at those photos in a few years and say, I wish I had a simple, beautiful photograph of the two of us on the beach looking at the camera.

Vanessa & Nick November 8, 2008

I'm just now getting to blog this wedding!  When I started my blog, other photographer friends that I have said "how will you find the time?"  I said that I would, but truly I was so busy these past few months with weddings, albums and Christmas portraits, I've gotten so behind.  So I will try to get caught up starting with Nick & Vanessa - the wedding was at the Quarry, a fairly new club with a really rustic decor, which is different for down here.  The great thing about them is that they have a beach area so you can still get the beach look even though they are miles from the beach.  They have a covered area for ceremonies, which is nice, although there was the backlighting issue.  They have a porch with a great view for the cocktail party and the reception dinig room is large with a great layout for a buffet and dance floor.  They did their unity candle after the entrances and  before the toasts, which was nice.  Candles are usually a church thing, so this was a good idea.
